Ryan - I did some work for a previous client tonight. He had me do some handyman task for a couple of hours. Things are winding down. I'm not too concerned about the reduction of side job cash flow. We've had a great summer of work. I have a few jobs lined up when the weather warms up in the spring already. Now it's time to give my family attention. I'm excited about that. Especially with the holidays coming up. I have a few vacation days left too that I can use for my family and not side jobs.
This time of the season is going to be our big test. I know we have gifts for our kids, but nothing big. Sure they are young and won't remember. Monday is Jack's first birthday and we can't put anything big together for him except a dinner with the family. We have put all this extra money into savings and paying down my school loan and we can't use it and that's just the beginning. Here's what's coming up in the next few months in regards to gifts:
- November 15th - Jack's birthday
- December 25th - Christmas
- January 22nd - Lizzy birthday (this one I don't feel as bad. I used my b-day and side job gift cards for our date and she was able to go to New York). I'll make her something with what's laying around the house.
